another crochet pink blanket

Finally finished!

I started this small blanket in the summer with the intention to give it to my niece for her birthday back in September. Well, with one thing or another I failed to get it finished and then forgot about it for awhile. Coming across it last week while clearing out a cupboard I finally finished off the trim and will deliver it for christmas. Better late than near!

roll over pink blanket!

Phew...I finally finished the small pink balnket I started a while back. I embleshed it with a few small flowers, hearts and a kitty face. This blanket is going to be a bithday gift for one of my neices who turns two this year, well that my excuse why it's quite small in size! Now I've got to start another one for her older sister who's birthday is a month later - I better start it asap as I couldn't make up my mind with colours and stiches etc for this one as I'm still learning and want to know everything now without praticing it first! LOL!

squares & circles

I've been crocheting like a mad woman this month. First of all I started making a small pink blanket for my niece when I found this pattern for circle in a square.  Following patterns is still pretty new for me and takes a couple of goes before it sinks in. When  I started making the circles I was not sure what I was going to do with them. Once I had a small pile of pink circles I moved on to making the square around it and hay-presto.

New Year and new inspiration

I finally finished the crochet blanket for my sister 'Meesh'. It was presented to her on Christmas day and I've got to say I was a bit sad to hand it over. Not only the amount of time it took me to do in short notice but it has inspired me to keep making them. The simple granny square is easy enough to do but once sewing together it can make a quite impressive item.
Additionally to making this blanket I started a number of new projects using felt. I forgot how easy it is to cut and sew. I had so much fun and it is to space and sew. These two ginger bread people where made for my two nieces hidden in a small packet with chocolate coins also side two small elephants.
